Sonia Ruiz was arrested and charged in January 2024 with Attempted Felony Extortion and Coercion   Index No. CR-001762-24QN and made subject to a Restraining Order of Protection by the Queens County Criminal Court.  See Sonia Ruiz sextortion case details.

All due diligence and caution is strongly advised when befriending, extending credit or renting to, or dealing in any way with Sonia Ruiz. Ruiz is  party to five different concurrent court cases in Queens and Nassau Counties in New York. Ruiz has a confirmed documented court record as a serial predatory extortionist, con artist and debt-evader with multiple monetary judgements entered against her for $52,913 in defaulted due loan payments and $35,485 in rent arrears accumulated over an 18-month period in which Ruiz stalled and appealed her landlord's eviction petition.

Sonia Ruiz habitually files false accusations to police against parties she has a dispute with and is well known to police in NYPD Precinct 107 & 114 in Queens where she filed multiple false, malicious and groundless complaints and was arrested and charged with coercion and extortion in 2024.

She uses her social media to harass, slander and defame her victims  introduction on her Facebook profile (So Kneeyah)  Ruiz prides herself that "EXPOSING YOU" is what makes her happy.

Sonia Ruiz has made multiple extortionary false accusations of being sexually harassed and molested, including by a long term ex-boyfriend, her roommate, a life-long childhood family acquaintance and his father, and has made claims to have been sexually harassed by her employers, fellow employees, business partners and work colleagues.  She was arrested when caught offering "to drop everything" (audio: 4:07) if she was paid monthly $2,500 'hush money' payments by one of her victims. Her false accusations and extortion attempts have been recently captured on video and in audio recordings by some of her victims.

Sonia Ruiz appears at first contact as a charming, charismatic, affable, vulnerable and sometimes an attractive middle-aged never-married single woman in her forties. She conceals her current relationships while lining up victims and gaining the trust and sympathy of both male and female victims with claims of a life-long history of her own victimization by all her former boyfriends, personal female friends, business associates and partners, employers, colleagues, police, courts, her family members and society in general. She has filed multiple false complaints to police of being stalked and harassed by individuals she has disputes with.

Sonia Ruiz tells a harrowing and heartbreaking story of childhood deprivation and abuse at the hands of her mentally ill mother and family members as a child and youth growing up in the New York 'ghetto' Queensbridge Houses Projects (QB or "The Bridge") in Long Island City, Queens.  She often claims to be now caring for her mentally disabled mother and has a history of using her mother to justify and/or explain her transgressions and debt non-payments.
 
Typical of deceptive manipulative predatory individuals, Sonia Ruiz is suspicious of others on a level bordering on pathological paranoia and is susceptible to wildly fantastic QAnon-type conspiracy theories. For example on her social media Facebook Page "So Kneeyah" she espouses not only the theory that the Sandy Hook School Massacre was staged, but also without irony, asserts that there is perhaps a suspicious conspiratorial connection between the Sandy Hook Massacre and Hurricane Sandy because both are named "Sandy."

Sonia Ruiz is a litigious and highly toxic tenant and a consummate and cunning landlord-tenant court process manipulator and well versed in property management and rental law as a former experienced New York certified real-estate rental property manger.  Once she secures tenancy, she habitually defaults on her rent and squats for months and years as she adjourns and postpones a landlord's attempt to evict her through the torturous and adversarial New York Landlord-Tenant Court process.

Her record of combining her grasp of tenant law with harassment, threats and coercion can be found in a recent action requiring a law firm specializing in tenant issues more than 18-months to successfully evict her from a luxury penthouse apartment where she sqauted rent free with over $35,000 dollars in rent arrears.  See the case of  75-25 153rd Street LLC vs. Sonia Ruiz - (Queens County Landlord Tenant Court - Index No. LT-305049-23/QU).  After being subjected by Ruiz to months of false complaints and her campaign of menacing threats and harassment of the rental property management employees and other tenants in the building, the landlord was compelled to sever $35,485 rent arrears from the eviction petition if only Ruiz agreed to vacating the said premises by April 2, 2024.

Physical Description: Sonia Ruiz in 'airbrushed' and filtered photos can sometimes appear to be younger than her middle-aged forties, but in "real life" she appears a more haggard and worn-out late forties with prominent dark circles under her eyes.  She recently began claiming to be "bi-racial" and is classified by NYPD in her arrest reports as "white Hispanic," however, she speaks no Spanish or any other language. Her complexion is pallid, pasty-pale and her weight frequently balloons up and down depending on her emotional state.  Her wardrobe, hair, makeup and grooming can be described as "cheap and trashy." She often changes her physical appearance and hair style and color, which is normally prematurely grey. She can be easily recognized, however, by the prominent dark chronically swollen 'bags' beneath her eyes and Ruiz often wears sunglasses to cover them up.

She has a slightly 'lazy' one eye and the whites of her eyes are unusually visible beneath and above her iris, a genetic trait, rendering a disconcerting "bug eyed" or bulging "cow eye" (bovine) effect, combined with the heavy dark bags under her eyes.

Demeanour and behavior:  Sonia Ruiz McGraw is often inappropriately loud and crude.  She has an aggressive and confrontational 'street attitude' especially when driving.  She flies into rages when she does not get her way. She normally speaks in a high-pitched nasal 'squeaky' voice with a prominent Queens accent; her voice had been described as being like that of the cartoon character Betty Boop.  Sonia Ruiz has a distinctive recognizable "mule-like" laugh, that is said to sound like "Elmer Fudd sitting on a juicer."
 

When 'triggered' or cornered Sonia Ruiz resorts to either dramatic wailing and crying, or coldly makes menacing threats  (See Video 1), or flies into a narcissistic rage, screaming and barking guttural obscenities at her victims. (See Video 2)  Ruiz habitually and rudely points her finger in an accusatory manner at those she aggresses against.    Her vocabulary frequently includes the following terms:  "I'm going to fuck you up... you are a fucking bitch... you motherfucka'... you pussy... you Napoleon bitch... you are a piece of shit... you are an abuser...  I'm calling the police on you...  you are a sexual predator... I am going to expose you... you have more to lose than me... I'm telling you now, I'm telling you now... right now, right now, I am calling the police on you." Notwithstanding the virulent character of her verbal threats, Ruiz to date is not on the record for having committed any egregious physical assaults.

Sonia Ruiz has a discernable and notable pathological "cleansing" tic in which she constantly twists wet 'handy-wipes' in her hands, in a compulsive need to "cleanse herself." 

Tattoos/distinguishing features:  Sonia Ruiz has a small 'heart sign' crudely tattooed on her left wrist at her pulse.  A stream of pink stars are clumsily tattooed on her left ankle and lower calf and appear at initial glance as a severe reddened psoriasis rash or some other type of skin disease.

She is often accompanied by her trained Doberman show dog "Shado" which has a sweet disposition but is in a state of neglect, mental depression and melancholy.  She uses the dog to sometimes menace and intimidate people as attested  in the evidence submitted by her former landlord's building management employee victimized by Sonia Ruiz.  

Character and psychopathology: Sonia Ruiz is a compulsive liar and a textbook case of a malignant narcissist. Her public record, social media posts and her five concurrent but different New York State court cases attest to her long history of habitual dishonesty, lack of moral character, pathological lying, abuse and exploitation and manipulation of victims. Ruiz always blames parties other than herself for her long history of personal and business failures, lack of accomplishments, debt-evasion and miscreant vengeful acts against multiples of victims. All this and her refusal to acknowledge or take responsibility for any of her actions, is symptomatic of acute Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) [DSM-5 Category 301.81], related to Borderline Personality Disorder 301.83; Antisocial Personality Disorder 301.7; Histrionic Personality Disorder 301.50; and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), per the current American Psychiatric Association, Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, (DSM-5), 2013.  Ruiz is also a candidate for a non-DSM-5 listed syndrome, RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria) where she becomes compulsively and acutely enraged to real or perceived instances of rejection, dislike or critical statements directed toward her by others.
